Quelque chose d’effrayant s’est produit sur les côtes d’Erin Island, un calme petit village irlandais. Des pêcheurs ont mystérieusement disparu, des baleines mutilées se sont échouées sur la plage. Seul un pêcheur continuellement ivre a échappé au danger. Les villageois vont en déduire que la seule façon de survivre, c’est de boire et d’être vraiment saoul.
