Nong Pradu, un village paisible niché dans une vallée boisée de Thaïlande, est en deuil après le vol de son Bouddha sacré : Ong-Bak. Ting, entraîné secrètement au Muay Thai, art ancien de boxe thaï, se désigne pour aller le récupérer dans la fournaise de Bangkok.
