Dans une petite ville sans histoire, le président de l'Université locale a planifié d'énormes aménagements urbains, ce qui n'est pas du goût de tous les habitants. Notamment d'un amérindien qui possède une petite boutique dans le coin. Un soir, hors de lui, ce dernier pénètre dans le musée afin de le saccager, et en profite pour psalmodier une ancienne incantation. Accidentellement, il ramène à la vie les ossements de trois dinosaures, un tyrannosaure, un vélociraptor ainsi qu'un ptérodactyle, qui vont rapidement semer la terreur dans les rues avoisinantes.
