Belgique nazie (2021)
Nourri d’archives et de reconstitutions historiques, ce documentaire se divise en plusieurs parties : l’enfance bourgeoise et bruxelloise de Magda Goebbels (l’épouse du chef de la propagande, confidente d’Hitler), la pouponnière SS du château de Wégimont (mi-maternité, mi-camp de reproduction), la création sous Hitler de l’aéroport militaire de Melsbroek et enfin, l’entrevue polémique entre le dictateur et le roi Léopold III. Au début de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, en commandant suprême, Hitler est venu diriger personnellement l’offensive allemande à partir de Bastogne. Dix jours plus tard, le 28 mai 1940, le roi des Belges déclare la capitulation sans condition de l’armée. Le gouvernement considère alors qu’il a été trahi et le renie. Léopold III refuse l’exil puis est fait prisonnier des Allemands au château de Laeken. Malgré ses réticences, il finit par accepter de rencontrer Hitler le 19 novembre 1940, à Berchtesgaden.
