Biographie:

RUTH ROMAN est une actrice américaine . Après avoir longtemps joué dans des spectacles amateurs, RUTH intègre la prestigieuse Bishop Lee Dramatic School mais ne parvient pas à décrocher de contrat, après 2 années de recherche auprès d'agents et de producteurs (1940-1942), et se contente d'une place de mannequin. Le cachet qu'elle obtient pour ”LE CABARET DES ÉTOILES” lui permet d'acheter son billet pour Hollywood. Elle s'installe avec d'autres stars en herbe à la résidence ”des 7 Garbos”. Remarquée dans ”LE CHAMPION”, film grâce auquel elle obtient une nomination de la plus prometteuse des artistes féminines aux Golden Globes en 1950, elle épouse le magnat de la TV MORTIMER WADHAMS HALL en 1951 et donne naissance à 1 fils, RICHARD. Après avoir survécu au naufrage du luxueux paquebot ”Andrea Doria” en 1956, elle divorce pour se remarier avec BUDD BURTON MOSS mais le contrat est annulé en 1960. Elle démarre une tournée triomphale au théâtre avec la pièce de WILLIAM GIBSON ”DEUX SUR LA BALANÇOIRE”, qui lui vaudra le prix Sarah Siddons en 1958. Elle se remarie en 1976 avec WILLIAM ROSS WILSON. RUTH ROMAN décède de mort naturelle le 09/09/1999 à Laguna Beach (Californie).
