Fran Walsh, détentrice de l'Ordre du Mérite de Nouvelle-Zélande, née le 10 janvier 1959 à Wellington (Nouvelle-Zélande), est une scénariste, productrice, compositrice et actrice. Elle est l'épouse de Peter Jackson et l'assiste dans la plupart de ses films. Ils ont ensemble deux enfants. Elle a remporté trois Oscars en 2003 pour le meilleur scénario adapté, le meilleur film et pour la meilleure chanson originale, le tout pour le film Le Seigneur des anneaux : Le Retour du roi.
