Hailee Steinfeld (née le 11 décembre 1996) est une actrice américaine. Elle est devenue célèbre pour son interprétation de Mattie Ross dans le film True Grit de 2010, pour lequel elle a été nominée pour un Oscar de la meilleure actrice dans un second rôle et un BAFTA Award de la meilleure actrice dans un rôle principal. Steinfeld est née à Tarzana, Los Angeles, fille de Cheri (née Domasin), architecte d'intérieur, et Peter Steinfeld, entraîneur personnel. Elle a un frère aîné, Griffin (né le 9 janvier 1994), qui est un pilote professionnel de NASCAR. Son oncle paternel est l'entraîneur de fitness Jake Steinfeld, et son grand-oncle maternel est l'ancien enfant acteur Larry Domasin.
