Vera Ann Farmiga (née le 6 août 1973) est une actrice et réalisatrice américaine. Farmiga a fait ses débuts au cinéma dans le thriller dramatique Return to Paradise en 1998. Elle a été suivie par des seconds roles dans le film romantique Automne 2000 à New York et dans la série télévisée UC 2001 : Sous couverture. Elle a également été choisie pour le film à suspense 15 Minutes en 2001. Parmi ses autres apparitions et rôles au cinéma, mentionnons la comédie Dummy de 2003, le drame Down to the Bone de 2004, le thriller policier The Departed de 2006, l'horreur Joshua de 2007 et le drame The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas de 2008. Farmiga a été acclamée par la critique à la suite de son travail dans la comédie dramatique Up in the Air 2009, pour laquelle elle a été mise en nomination pour un Oscar, un BAFTA Award, un Golden Globe Award, et un Screen Guild Actors Award. Elle a également joué le rôle de Kate Coleman dans Orphan en 2009.
