Laurence John Fishburne III (né le 30 juillet 1961) est un acteur, dramaturge, producteur, scénariste et réalisateur américain. Il est connu pour avoir joué Morpheus dans la trilogie The Matrix, Jason "Furious" Styles dans le film dramatique Boyz n the Hood en 1991, Tyrone "Mr. Clean" Miller dans le film de guerre Apocalypse Now en 1979, et plus récemment "The Bowery King" dans la série de films de John Wick. Pour son interprétation d'Ike Turner dans What's Love Got to Do With It, Fishburne a été nominé pour un Oscar du meilleur acteur. Il a remporté un Tony Award pour le meilleur acteur dans une pièce de théâtre pour sa performance dans Two Trains Running (1992), et un Emmy Award pour l'acteur invité exceptionnel dans une série dramatique pour sa performance dans TriBeCa (1993).
