Halle Maria Berry est une actrice américaine et ancienne mannequin. Elle a remporté un Oscar de la meilleure actrice en 2002 pour sa performance dans Monster's Ball, devenant ainsi la première et, à partir de 2014, la seule femme d'origine afro-américaine à remporter un Oscar pour un rôle principal. Elle est l'une des actrices les mieux payées à Hollywood et a participé à la production de plusieurs des films dans lesquels elle a joué. Berry est aussi un modèle à rayons Revlon. Avant de devenir actrice, Berry a participé à plusieurs concours de beauté, dont le Miss USA Pageant et Miss World Pageants. Elle a joué un rôle décisif dans le film Boomerang en 1992, ce qui lui a valu de nombreux rôles tout au long des années 1990, dont celui de Dorothy Dandridge (1999), pour lequel elle a remporté l'Emmy Award et le Golden Globe Award de la meilleure actrice. Berry a atteint un niveau plus élevé de proéminence au 21e siècle avec des films d'action de premier plan, dont Die Another Day (2002), où elle a joué Bond Girl Jinx. En plus de son Academy Award, Berry a reçu le prix Razzie "pire actrice" en 2005 pour son rôle controversé en tant que personnage titulaire dans Catwoman. Elle est apparue à la cérémonie pour accepter le prix en personne (faisant d'elle la troisième personne, et le deuxième acteur, toujours à le faire) avec un sens de l'humour, tenant l'Academy Award dans une main et le Razzie dans l'autre. Divorcée du joueur de baseball David Justice et du musicien Eric Benét, Berry a une fille du mannequin Gabriel Aubry et un fils avec son mari actuel, l'acteur Olivier Martinez. Berry a régulièrement été nominé pour des prix de beauté imprimés, y compris le numéro un dans la liste des "50 personnes les plus belles du monde" de People Magazine en 2003.
