Julie Strain (18 février 1962 - 10 janvier 2021) était une actrice qui a été élue « Pet of the Month » (animale de compagnie du mois) en juin 1991, puis « Penthouse's Pet of the Year » (animale de compagnie de l'année) en 1993. Julie Strain est née à Concord, en Californie. Diplômée du Diablo Valley College, elle avait une longue expérience sportive. Cependant, une grande partie de sa jeunesse a été effacée de sa mémoire lorsqu'elle a souffert d'amnésie rétrograde à la suite d'un grave traumatisme crânien causé par une chute de cheval. Elle s'est finalement installée à Las Vegas, puis à Hollywood, en Californie, où sa carrière d'actrice a pris son essor. Julie Strain est désormais connue comme la « reine des films de série B ». Elle a plus de 100 films à son actif. Elle a également été associée à de nombreux personnages de bandes dessinées et d'animations. Elle a par exemple inspiré le personnage du jeu de tir à la troisième personne Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.².
