Jessica Chastain (née le 24 mars 1977) est une actrice américaine de théâtre, de cinéma et de télévision. Elle a joué des rôles d'invité dans plusieurs émissions de télévision avant de faire ses débuts au cinéma avec le film indépendant 2008 Jolene. En 2011, Chastain a obtenu une large reconnaissance publique pour ses rôles principaux dans sept films; pour sa performance dans The Help, elle a reçu les nominations de Meilleure actrice dans un second rôle aux cérémonies de remise des Oscars, Golden Globe, BAFTA et Screen Actors Guild. En 2012, le magazine Time l'a présentée comme l'une des «100 personnes les plus influentes au monde». La performance de Chastain dans le thriller militaire 2012 Zero Dark Thirty et le film d'horreur Mama 2013 a conduit le critique de cinéma Richard Roeper à la décrire comme "l'un des meilleurs acteurs de sa génération". Pour le premier, elle a remporté un Golden Globe Award de la meilleure actrice (Drame) et a reçu une nomination pour l'Oscar de la meilleure actrice.
