Né le 1er mai 1950 à Flat Rock, Michigan, Dann Florek est un acteur et réalisateur américain, principalement connu pour ses rôles à la télévision. Il débute au théâtre avant de se faire remarquer dans des séries comme L.A. Law (1988-1990). Il accède à la notoriété en incarnant le capitaine Donald Cragen dans New York, police judiciaire (1990-1993, 1995, 2018) et New York, unité spéciale (1999-2015, 2017-2021). Son interprétation d’un chef d’équipe autoritaire mais juste lui vaut l’admiration des fans. Florek a également joué dans des films comme Le Grand Tournoi (1996) et réalisé plusieurs épisodes de New York, police judiciaire. Avec sa voix grave et son charisme, il reste une figure marquante des séries judiciaires.
