Theresa Russell (née Theresa Lynn Paup, le 20 mars 1957) est une actrice américaine. Russell fait ses débuts au cinéma dans Le Dernier Nabab (1976), puis obtient un rôle principal dans Straight Time (1978). Elle est ensuite choisie pour jouer dans le thriller controversé de Nicolas Roeg, Bad Timing (1980), qui lui vaut les éloges de la critique. Après avoir épousé Roeg en 1982, elle apparaît dans de nombreux films réalisés par lui, principalement des films d'art et d'essai et des films expérimentaux, notamment Eureka (1983), Insignificance (1985) et Cold Heaven (1991). Russell a joué dans Whore et Kafka, tous deux sortis en 1991. Elle a ensuite joué dans le thriller à succès Wild Things (1998), dans le drame acclamé par la critique The Believer (2001) et, à la fin des années 2000, dans la mini-série Empire Falls (2005) de HBO. Elle a également tenu un petit rôle dans Spider-Man 3 (2007).
