Johnny Weissmuller (né Johann Peter Weißmüller ; 2 juin 1904 – 20 janvier 1984) était un nageur et acteur américain d'origine austro-hongroise. Dans les années 1920, il fut l'un des meilleurs nageurs au monde, remportant cinq médailles d'or et une de bronze aux Jeux olympiques. Il remporta cinquante-deux championnats nationaux américains et établit soixante-sept records du monde. Après sa carrière de nageur, il devint le sixième acteur à incarner Tarzan au cinéma, un rôle qu'il interpréta dans douze films. Bien que des dizaines d'autres acteurs aient également joué Tarzan, Weissmuller reste de loin le plus célèbre. Son cri de Tarzan, un ululation caractéristique, est encore fréquemment utilisé au cinéma.
