Gli Stati Uniti sono in festa. La prima spedizione umana su Marte è stata un completo successo. I tre astronauti americani sono di ritorno con l'inestimabile carico di campioni raccolti da Patrick Ross, il capo della missione che è stato l'unico a sbarcare sul pianeta.
