Byzantium (2013)
Eleanor è una ragazza precoce a cui piace scrivere per raccontare storie. Di carattere introverso, preferisce trascorrere il tempo a mettere nero su bianco le sue riflessioni più intime. Sua 'sorella' Clara è l'esatto opposto: estroversa e appariscente, va in giro fasciata in abiti stretti e sui suoi tacchi alti, attirando lo sguardo degli uomini, ovunque lei vada. Sia Eleanor che Clara hanno dei segreti che appartengono al loro passato - un passato molto lungo: e così si scopre che ai tempi delle guerre Napoleoniche, Clara era coinvolta in una storia passionale, mentre Eleanor era una bambina abbandonata. Ai giorni nostri, entrambe cercano di tenere nascosti i loro segreti ai nuovi compagni, che non sospettano nulla. Eleanor si innamora di un ragazzo molto dolce che lavora come cameriere, mentre Clara frequenta un uomo che non sospetta nulla di lei e che ha appena ereditato il Byzantium Hotel, che ha visto giorni migliori.
