Chan e' un poliziotto che si e' infiltrato nelle Triadi per ottenere informazioni sull'organizzazione criminale e sui suoi membri; Lau e' un membro delle Triadi che si e' infiltrato nella polizia per passare informazioni ai suoi capi. Presto le rispettive "finzioni" creeranno non pochi problemi di ordine morale ai due, mentre in entrambi gli ambienti cresce il sospetto della presenza di una spia.
