La ragazza delle balene (2003)
Una ragazzina maori, per quanto sia legatissima alla sua cultura, viene esclusa dal nonno paterno dalle lezioni di combattimento tradizionale perché femmina. Nonostante il divieto, si fa aiutare dallo zio (grazie anche all'appoggio della nonna), e presto è in grado di eguagliare i ragazzi e, nell'incredulità del nonno, dimostra tutti i requisiti per diventare un grande capo, soprattutto una strana sintonia con le balene arenate sulla spiaggia.
