Avalon (2001)
In un futuro prossimo una gioventù totalmente disillusa si costruisce una realtà alternativa: un guerriero virtuale e illegale di nome Avalon, con riferimento all'isola leggendaria in cui riposano le anime degli eroi. I partecipanti al gioco ne diventano dipendenti al punto da ritrovarsi decerebrati come fossero vittime di una droga. Chi cede viene definito 'non-ritornato'. Ash è una ragazza che si guadagna da vivere passando in continuazione dal mondo reale a quello virtuale di Avalon. Un giorno scopre che un esperto del gioco, Murphy, è finito tra i 'non-ritornati' perché aveva cercato di entrare in un'area proibita del gioco.
