May è una giovane e strana ragazza che ha avuto un'infanzia molto difficile e che non conosce il significato dell'amicizia e dell'amore. Lavora in una clinica per animali e vive da sola con la sua unica vera "amica", una bambola che la madre gli regalò quando era ancora piccola.
