Il grande Gatsby (1974)
Nick, agente di cambio, abita vicino alla lussuosa villa di Jay Gatsby, arricchito in modo misterioso. Daisy, sua cugina, è stata un tempo amante di Gatsby, ma ora è sposata al ricco e cinico Tom. Gatsby riesce a incontrarla, proprio grazie a Nick, e le chiede di divorziare. Lei rifiuta ma Tom, convinto dell'infedeltà della moglie, minaccia il rivale. Infine, sarà proprio Daisy, investendo una donna con la macchina di Gatsby, a provocare l'intervento del marito, che lo ucciderà credendolo responsabile.
