The Garden (1990)
Il giardino del titolo del film si moltiplica in un gioco di specchi e si trasforma. E' il luogo rassicurante che c'è davanti alla nostra casa, il giardino in cui si accumulano le nostre piante e i nostri ricordi; il "giardino" del cimitero dove sono sepolti tanti degli amici morti di Aids; il giardino dell'Eden da cui l'umanità è stata cacciata e a cui non riesce a fare ritorno; e quello dei Getsemani, dove inizia la Passione di Cristo che rivive sin da quando bambino, fra le braccia della madre è insidiato dai paparazzi, a quando, adulto e solo, cammina per le lande solitarie di Dungeness. C'è poi un'altra "Passione", simboleggiata e trasfigurata dalla coppia omosessuale che deve subire le sferzate e le umiliazioni a cui la sottopone la società…
