Un professore introverso e mite, estraneo a qualunque tipo di azione avventurosa, mentre sta studiando alcuni misteriosi reperti di meteorite resta vittima di un incidente. I raggi radioattivi di una cometa cadente, infatti, lo trasformano in un essere dai poteri soprannaturali e dall'indomito coraggio. Deciderà di mettersi al servizio della giustizia, combattendo contro il crimine.
