L'isola del desiderio (1948)
Un giornalista capita in un alberguccio su un'isola boscosa, dove viene accolto cordialmente da un nano e da sua figlia Nora. Il nano gli consegna una moneta d'oro avvertendolo che si trasformerà in una pietra se lui cederà alla sete di guadagno. Così avviene. Il giornalista torna da Nora, che lo consola con l'amore.
