L'ombra dell'altro (1945)
Un impetuoso e disordinato giovane si è riscattato dalle sue beghe con la polizia, arruolandosi nella guerra contro il Giappone e morendo da eroe. Lascia la fidanzata, che si è legata ad un altro, e il vecchio padre che riceve con modestia le onorificenze. Il nuovo fidanzato della ragazza si arruola volontario per emulare la gloria del primo.
