Silent Friend (2026)
Nel cuore di un giardino botanico in una città universitaria medievale in Germania si erge un maestoso ginkgo biloba. Questo testimone silenzioso ha osservato per oltre un secolo i tranquilli ritmi di trasformazione attraverso tre vite umane. 2020: un neuroscienziato di Hong Kong, esplorando la mente dei neonati, inizia un esperimento inaspettato con il vecchio albero. 1972: una giovane studentessa subisce un profondo cambiamento grazie al semplice atto di osservare e connettersi con un geranio. 1908: la prima donna ammessa all’università scopre, attraverso la lente della fotografia, i sacri schemi dell’universo nascosti nella più umile delle piante. Seguiamo i loro goffi e impacciati tentativi di stabilire dei legami – ognuno profondamente radicato nel proprio presente – mentre vengono trasformati dal potere silenzioso, persistente e misterioso della natura. L’antico ginkgo biloba ci avvicina al senso dell’essere umani: al nostro desiderio di sentirci a casa.
