Mean Creek (2004)
Timido e minuto, Sam è vittima dell'attacco immotivato dell'arrogante Georgie, bullo della scuola. In seguito al pestaggio, Rocky, fratello maggiore di Sam, escogiterà insieme ad altri due amici un piano per punire ed umiliare il corpulento bullo: con la scusa di un falso compleanno, il gruppo inviterà Georgie a fare una gita, nel corso della quale dovrebbe consumarsi la vendetta. Resosi conto che Georgie è in realtà un ragazzo solo e disadattato, Sam chiederà al fratello Rocky di abortire il piano, ma saranno le dinamiche del gruppo a determinare gli eventi, tra pulsioni adolescenziali e dolorosa acquisizione del senso di responsabilità.
