Condannato a morte per mancanza di indizi (1983)
Steven Hardin, un giovane magistrato, si trova ad affrontare una crisi di coscienza, essendo costretto più volte a rilasciare i colpevoli di crimini efferati per via di cavilli giudiziali sollevati da avvocati con pochi scrupoli. Steven si sente sconfitto, umiliato. Finché non entra in contatto con un gruppo di uomini molto potenti, associati in una sorta di tribunale segreto che dispensa condanne a morte ai criminali che sono passati incolumi attraverso le maglie della giustizia istituzionale.
