Tribunale senza magistrati (1958)
Mentre il transatlantico "Paradise" prende fuoco, con il risultato di ben 162 vittime a bordo, il giovane capitano Barret è colpito al capo e perde conoscenza. Quando si riprende è smarrito, e può essere scambiato per ubriaco. Nonostante l'impegno profuso, il capitano è giudicato negligente e si trova gravemente imputato in un processo. L'avvocato David Carson accetta di difenderlo; testimone dopo testimone, cercherà di smontare le accuse per giungere alla verità...
