Durante l’ultima tappa di un tour universitario attraverso l’America, accompagnata da sua madre, un’adolescente cinese considera di studiare e vivere a New York, con sua zia, che sembra avere una vita perfetta. Ma nel tempo di una cena a base di granchio, la tensione cresce, e la protagonista si ritrova sola, nella notte newyorchese, a fantasticare sul proprio futuro.
