L'occhio del ciclone - In the Electric Mist (2009)
New Iberia, Louisiana. Il detective Dave Robicheaux è a caccia di un serial killer che dilania i corpi di giovani donne. Di ritorno dai rilievi sul cadavere di una prostituta minorenne ferma per eccesso di velocità la star hollywoodiana Elrod Sykes che si trova nella zona per girare un film sulla Guerra di Secessione. Il film gode dei finanziamenti di un boss della criminalità locale, Baby Feet Balboni. Sykes rivela al detective di aver rinvenuto, nel corso delle riprese, lo scheletro di un uomo incatenato. Ora Dave si trova dinanzi alla memoria di un delitto avvenuto in un passato abbastanza recente che potrebbe avere collegamenti con gli omicidi delle ragazze.
