In questo ritratto profondo di una delle poche vere superstar del jazz, il pianista Keith Jarrett vi parlerà della sua musica, dell'importanza dell'improvvisazione, dei grandi artisti con cui ha collaborato e degli alti e bassi della vita. Il programma vede anche interventi di suoi amici musicisti, familiari e colleghi che dicono la loro sul grande pianista. Questo primo documentario su Keith Jarrett è stato realizzato grazie alla totale collaborazione dell'artista stesso e contiene anche alcune registrazioni e rare immagini d'archivio di suoi concerti degli anni '60 insieme a Miles Davis e Charles Lloyd.
