Crossing Over (2009)
Max Brogan è un agente dell'Immigration and Customs Enforcement e ha il compito di ostacolare con tutti i mezzi legali l'immigrazione clandestina negli Stati Uniti. Opera nell'area del confine con il Messico ed è incapace di trattare le persone come fossero puri e semplici pacchi da accettare o rinviare al mittente. Incontra così la giovane operaia messicana Mireya Sanchez che, prima di essere arrestata dai suoi colleghi, lo supplica di aiutare il suo bambino. Nel frattempo Denise Frankel si occupa di difendere come avvocato i più deboli mentre suo marito Cole, approfittando del potere che ha sulla consegna o meno della Green Card, costringe una ragazza australiana a concedergli prestazioni sessuali. Conosciamo anche le storie di Zahta, giovane musulmana che vuole che si pensi anche alle possibili ragioni degli attentatori dell'11 settembre, l'adolescente coreano Yong Kim che si fa coinvolgere in una banda di giovanbi criminali.
