Stasera ho vinto anch'io (1949)
Il pugile Stocker ha più sconfitte che vittorie nella sua carriera che ha ormai imboccato la parabola discendente. Il boxeur è, però, sempre alla ricerca del combattimento buono in cui primeggiare mentre il suo manager, uomo di pochi scrupoli, e alcuni banditi, suoi alleati, hanno fatto i soldi con le scommesse clandestine sulle sue sconfitte. Quando Stocker, disobbedendo agli ordini del manager, si impunta e riesce a ottenere la sospirata vittoria, verrà brutalmente pestato al punto da non poter più salire su un ring.
