Il Grinta (1969)
Mattie Ross, una giovane donna proprietaria di una fattoria, assolda Rooster Cogburn, un anziano sceriffo detto "il Grinta", per catturare un fuorilegge, Tom Chaney, che le ha ucciso il padre. Mattie e "il Grinta" si mettono in viaggio verso la zona montagnosa nella quale presumibilmente il bandito ha trovato rifugio. Ben presto si unisce a loro La Boeuf, un giovane agente governativo, anche egli alla ricerca dello stesso uomo. Nel corso del viaggio, l'armonia del terzetto è frequentemente scossa dalla forte personalità dei tre componenti, ognuno dei quali tende a far prevalere la propria opinione su quella degli altri.
