Incoronato Re, Artù sposa la bella Ginevra, ma il perfido Mordred, marito di Morgana, sparge la voce che Ginevra e Lancillotto sono stati amanti (in realtà il loro é stato un amore platonico). Consigliato da Merlino, Lancillotto si sposa e si allontana dalla corte. Scoppia una guerra civile provocata da Mordred. Lancillotto torna in tempo per soccorrere Artù morente e uccidere il perfido Mordred.
