Che fai, rubi? (1966)
La storia del film di Taniguchi si trasforma in una lotta per il possesso di una ricetta di un'insalata di uova. All'inizio del film, e poi anche nel bel mezzo della trama, viene mostrato Allen in compagnia del finto produttore esecutivo del film, che insieme commentano la nascita del progetto. Durante il film, mentre una delle protagoniste femminili recita una scena di grande thrilling, Allen e il produttore ricompaiono per una battuta fulminante. Il produttore domanda ad Allen se lui volesse per caso spiegare un po' la trama, a dire il vero abbastanza complicata, ed Allen risponde semplicemente «No!».
