Rolling Thunder (1977)
Il maggiore Charlie Rane è appena rientrato da sette anni di guerra in Vietnam e la comunità locale, considerandolo un eroe, gli rende omaggio con una cospicua somma di denaro. Interessati a metter le mani sui soldi, alcuni ladri s’introducono nella casa dell’uomo, ferendolo gravemente e uccidendogli la moglie e il figlio. Rane, dopo un periodo di convalescenza in ospedale, decide di riprendere le armi in mano per ricercare i criminali e mettere in atto la sua personale vendetta. Lo aiuteranno nell’intento due amici: Linda, una vecchia fiamma, e Johnny Vohden (Tommy Lee Jones), suo ex-commilitone.
