Bekas - In viaggio per la felicità (2012)
Zana ha sette anni e suo fratello Dana dieci. Sono bekas, ovvero completamenti soli al mondo. Hanno perso tutta la loro famiglia nella guerra del Kurdistan iracheno contro le truppe di Saddam Hussein, nei primi anni ’90. Vivono al limite della sussistenza. Un giorno intravedono una sequenza di Superman attraverso un buco nel muro del cinema locale e decidono di partire per l’America per andare a chiedere il suo aiuto. Superman riporterà in vita i loro genitori, pensa Zana, e ucciderà Saddam. Comprano un mulo, che chiamano Michael Jackson, e si mettono in viaggio oltre le montagne all’orizzonte.
