Passaggio per il paradiso (1985)
Una ventina d'anni prima, lanciatosi in una pazzesca sfida automobilistica con un avversario, Bobby ci rimette la vita. Nell'anticamera dell'aldilà, Rafferty, un bizzarro angelo motorizzato si vede affidare il giovanotto, considerato ancora immaturo per il Supremo: egli dovrà anzi tornare sulla Terra e prendersi attivamente cura di qualcuno. E infatti torna e trova molti cambiamenti (la fidanzata si è felicemente sposata col suo rivale di sempre, Joe Barnes, e ora ha tre figli, il maggiore dei quali - Lenny - è un sedicenne assai impacciato, ma di buona stoffa ed è proprio di lui che Bobby dovrà occuparsi, debuttando con il salvargli la vita, in seguito alla caduta da un dirupo).
