Zoe che fa la cameriera al Witch Mountain Café, un giorno vede materializzarsi in un fascio di luce pupurea due piccoli gemelli, un maschio e una femmina. Dallo spavento la ragazza sviene. Bruno, un eremita dall'aspetto inquietante, che nel frattempo è sopraggiunto, si ritrova i due bambini nel suo scalcinato camioncino. Per paura di venire scoperto abbandona la bambina, ma viene fermato prima che riesca a nascondere anche il fratellino.
