Sapore di miele (1961)
Dopo una vicenda sentimentale intrisa di amarezza e di sofferenza con un marinaio di colore, la giovane Jo si lascia platonicamente attrarre da Geoffrey che nutre per lei un sentimento sincero. Quando quest'ultimo apprende che Jo aspetta un figlio dal marinaio, copre la ragazza di tutte le attenzioni che le sue tristi vicissitudini meritano; nella delicata situazione Jo ritrova perfino l'affetto della madre Helen, donna svaporata e sciattona.
