According to Greta (2009)
La diciassettenne Greta è costretta, per punizione, a trascorrere l’estate presso la casa dei nonni, in un piccolo paese della contea dello Jersey, e a lavorare come cameriera in un ristorante. Qui, l’adolescente conosce Julie, il giovane cuoco di colore, e se ne innamora perdutamente. Ma la relazione non entusiasma i nonni della ragazza a causa di un tragico segreto familiare che sembra coinvolgere il passato di Julie. Toccherà a Greta vincere le loro resistenze.
