Stage Beauty (2004)
Nella Londra del 1600 l'attrice di teatro più bella e famosa era un uomo: Edward «Ned» Kynaston. All'epoca, infatti, alle donne era vietato recitare in palcoscenico e tutte le parti femminili erano affidate agli attori maschi. Ma con l'ascesa al trono di Carlo I le cose cambiano e per Ned Kynaston, vero acclamatissimo divo, è la fine. «Condannato» a recuperare la propria virilità, va in crisi e comincia a chiedersi chi sia veramente. Buona ricostruzione storica.
