Pulgasari (1986)
Nella Corea feudale, i contadini organizzano una ribellione contro il loro malvagio sovrano. Per evitare che il popolo si armi, il sovrano ordina il sequestro di tutti i loro attrezzi da lavoro e, intanto, imprigiona anche l'anziano fabbro. Prima di morire, quest'ultimo forgia una miniatura di Pulgasari, un kaijū che si nutre di ferro. Il sangue di sua figlia permetterà a questa creatura di diventare reale e di combattere al fianco dei poveri, contro la monarchia corrotta.
