The American (2010)
Jack è un killer privo di scrupoli. Una missione finita tragicamente in Scandinavia lo spinge a cercare un periodo di pausa. Il suo committente di origine russa gli trova un rifugio sulle montagne abruzzesi e Jack cerca di non risultare reperibile neanche per lui. Un giorno però, chiamandolo da un telefono pubblico, si sente fare la proposta di costruire e montare un fucile ad alta precisione che però non sarà lui a dover utilizzare. Jack ha bisogno della solitudine che si è andato a cercare ma, al contempo, vuole avere una donna. La trova in Clara che si prostituisce in una casa di appuntamenti. Il rapporto tra i due si trasforma pian piano in qualcosa di diverso.
