Un giornalista americano in Laos denuncia clandestinamente, con articoli e foto, le violenze del regime comunista e la persecuzione dei profughi. Fatto pedinare da una bella spia, se ne innamora, ricambiato. Scacciato dal Laos, vi torna per rapire la ragazza, e vi riesce dopo mille peripezie. Una storia realmente accaduta e resa con efficacia.
