Notre Dame (1939)
Esmeralda, una bella zingara perseguitata dalla giustizia, si salva appellandosi al diritto d'asilo e rifugiandosi nella cattedrale di Notre Dame. Di lei si sono invaghiti uomini molto diversi: un capitano dell'esercito, un poeta e il presidente del tribunale. Ma Esmeralda ha un solo sincero amico: Quasimodo, il campanaro della cattedrale, uomo ripugnante ma buono e fedele.
