Il cortile del diavolo (1977)
La storia è incentrata su un ragazzo di tredici anni, Tom Allen, che desidera ardentemente di seguire la sua vocazione a prendere i voti, ma è profondamente turbato da sensazioni e pressioni che egli non riesce nè a comprendere nè a cointrollare. Intorno a lui si muove un mondo di coetanei ed adulti, anch'essi incapaci di soggiacere completamente o di ribellarsi all'atmosfera oppressiva e soffocante el colleggio.
